On A Pelni Ship During Ramadan
Just arrived to Labuanbajo, Flores, Nusa Tenggara Timor, this morning. The ship was extremely overbooked. I had to sleep curled up on top of a large metal box outside on deck five. The box had a sign in Indonesian that probably translates to something like "Do not sit or put anything on top of this container". The Tilongkabila was on time though. It took 18 hours to cross the Flores Sea from Makassar, Sulawesi.
